Medical equipment restoration and distribution program
We collect, refurbish, and distribute a wide variety of Durable Medical Equipment throughout the CSRA and Internationally. We have a group of all volunteers that collect, clean, and refurbish these items which are distributed locally at no cost to those in need through third party organizations. We use third party organizations to distribute items in order to validate medical necessity, ensure the equipment suits the patient, and provide adequate training to the end user. Hundreds of items are donated each year and provided to patients through a network of like-minded organizations, free clinics, rehab facilities, and hospitals. We have also provided items to residents in several local Nursing Homes, and to the State Medical Prison in Augusta. When equipment is available, we also make items available for organizations providing similar services abroad.
